New writers, to be exact. Sekijitsu is currently on the lookout for new writers who can contribute to the site. Unfortunately for us, Fuu has withdrawn himself from the writing circle and has gone on an indefinite hiatus so we are currently understaffed. I know that this site is still young and has yet to find it’s feet, but we would like to extend our hand and welcome any potential writers who are currently on the lookout for a possible starting point to share their views and thoughts on anime and manga.
That said, we are looking to hire maybe 2-3 writers (if we’re lucky), preferably ones who are passionate on the subject and full of ideas. As for the topic of the posts, it would be awesome if it would be anime-based, but manga and anything on the japanese culture will be fine with me :) If anyone is interested, feel free to email me and promote your ideas on how you can contribute to Sekijitsu.

Here is a list of criteria that I will be looking out for. Don’t be scared, they’re actually very common and people who visit anime blogs mostly share the same qualities:
- Loves anime and manga (that’s a given)
- Has experience in writing (Ok, not experience in blogging per say, just writing in general. I would need an example post to get an idea of your writing style so I can increase the writing quality of the site -since my writing is crap-)
That’s it really, short ain’t it? Anyways, if you’re interested you can also email me your anime/manga tastes, what and maybe how you would write about them and anything else of interest that you think can promote your cause.
But please, don’t hesitate to ask as I am always open to some new talent :) I can’t really sustain a full-featured blog without content now would I? ^_~

Writers contribute to the site how? What would they be writing?
We contribute simply by writing reviews, and giving our thoughts on it.
Yo~! I'm a regular from Metanorn and considered a troll / trap at DDD xD This would be the first time commenting after a very long session of lurking around Sekijitsu~ First things first, your site is awesome, I love the logo, the background and how everything works ^^ But since I'm more of a Metanorn follower, it would take time getting used to how the site works ^^
But now you wondering why I'm commenting on this post? Well to be frantically honest, ever since I started lurking Sekijitsu, I haven't seen anyone around except Vivi – who is doing a fantastic job in keeping the site alive~ and I would like to ask whether or not you guys (or girls) are still looking for any new writers or not?
Either way, rock on Sekijitsu, I see a bright future for a young site like yours x3
I'm not sure I'm qualified to answer this, but the site is in a lag because a lot of the writers are off doing other things. (For instance, Kyokai writes for Metanorn, as I'm sure you already know.)
Also, our intrepid leader, Bass, is AWOL. No one has any idea what happened to him. There are plenty of theories and rumors floating around. My theory: zombie sheep. As the population of sheep in NZ surpasses the human population, its reasonable to suspect sheep at the culprit behind Bass's sudden disappearance. I have concluded that the recent earthquake in NZ releases a zombie virus which infected their sheep, who in turn targeted Bass for his sweet, delicious brain. Unfortunately, it is difficult to blog without a brain (or do much of anything really) and he's probably already been taken into police custody. I doubt the NZ government would want news of the virus to get out — it would impact their hobbit-fueled tourism industry.
Anyway, until a cure is found, we're all going to keep on rolling. Its what Bass would've wanted.
Either way, Bass is the one in charge of recruiting. However, I think he is ALWAYS looking for more writers, especially since writers are a flaky bunch and are always off doing things that don't include copious amounts of anime/manga blogging. (Except for Vivi, who I suspect is a robot.) So having back-up writers is a must.
yeah, I know about Kyokai's position in Metanorn ^^ and I love your hypothesis on what happened to bass, very imaginative~ only a writer from Sekijitsu can do something like that :P
I wish you guys the best of luck with everything, it would be a shame to see this site get taken down or lose viewers taht it would have to be taken down ><" I would like to contribute but I'm un-sure of my skills in writing and also I'm basically in a two months holiday starting today so I got heaps of time to kill, I dont know if you guys would want me as a contributor writer or something, but I'm not even sure if you are looking for any writers and after hearing your talk about back up writers, what should I do? what should WE do? wait for Bass?

The wait is over~! xD Bass is back lols umm… like what I've said up top, I'd like to help out and in this case, I could… try for an application to be a writer for Sekijitsu since right now I'm on a VERY long holiday Summer break (starts school on 7th of Feb) and Winter anime season are starting in a dew days, so Bass I hope you could have the time to take a look, but like I don't mind if I'm turned down or anything, I'll stay as a commentor and bring out those lurkers! xD
I'm definitely gonna consider it, I'll probably think about this more in the coming days as I assess the situation.
