More Introductions!
Oh, how I wish the weather was that nice over here...
Hi there! I go by Mint and I’m the newest writer for this amazing blog.
By day I’m averager than average. I procrastinate, cram for tests, abhor waking up early, pretend to enjoy Grey’s Anatomy, and prefer oranges to apples. I play second violin, but I’m teetering on being demoted to viola (*shudders*). Being a Canadian born Chinese girl has given me an interesting combination of overachieving and laid back qualities (That, and living with the emotional scars from Middle Child Syndrome).
I hail from the middle of suburbia of a small city. I’ll give you an idea of how much of a hoot it is to live here: the locals’ idea of fun is to drive into the country to a ‘historical settlement’ (aka everyone pretends it’s 1885), make butter (churn up lard for hours) and for a real show-stopper, knock over a wooden fence and rebuild it again.
For Spring 2010 so far, I’m really loving Durarara! (It brings back fond memories of Baccano <3), Angel Beats!, K-On!!, and many other shows with exclamation marks in their titles.
My tastes in anime are pretty varied; though, if it has a great plot and pretty animation, I’m there. I also have a bit of a weak spot for shojo (Being a bit of a closet fangirl). I’ll probably stick with thoughts and impressions in my post, while attempting to summarize plot points in a round-about way.
When I’m not watching anime you can find me wiling away on Tv Tropes, discovering how to use Twitter, or reading.
I’m so excited to join Sekijitsu! There have been some great posts already and I’m sure there’ll be more wonderful things to come. I don’t think my writing is that great at all, but hopefully there’s some room for improvement. It’s marvelous to meet you all (:

Sekijitsu was founded to provide readers a diverse perspective on anything and everything manga and anime. The scope doesn’t end there though, as the blog will also occasionally dish out on the the writers' other interests, such as gaming, technology, movies, books, sports or whatever the flavour of the month happens to be. Fundamentally though, the sole focus will tend to be on anime, manga and Japanese culture in general. 
Nice to meet you too! Oh, and I’ve read your reviews- keep up the good work (: Working and Kaichou wa Maid-sama! look pre-etty decent so far, so maybe I’ll cover those. I was also thinking of blogging about some manga, since monthly releases are so much easier to keep track of.
Working is a pretty funny anime I must say. Nice I would do manga but I’m a lazy Sob who doesn’t regularly read scans like he should.
We should talk shoujo some time. It's my secret read. I read soooooo much shoujo but I can never remember the characters names. I think Sawako is the only one I can remember……..
Bwahaha, totally. I actually have the same problem, except it's with shonen manga. So many characters to keep track of! Annd Sawako <3 KnT was such a great show~

Welcome~ your town sounds fun LOL. Do they dress up?! I like 1885, except in England/France XP The dresses were massive ruffle-butts (but gorgeous) and the men’s outfits were quite dapper
Good luck on with orchestra, I used to play violin too, good times ahaha. Work hard & work your way up! If you’re worried about being moved to viola, you should try out the cello, my favorite string instrument ♥ Bass & cello are much more fun to play imo, and the cello has a really beautiful sound *3*

And yes, they DO. It's a sight to see, I can tell you. Great big hoop skirts and what not. But the guys' costumes kinda look like bad cosplay xD Plus you know how ripped up they'd get, doing intense man-work like repairing wooden fences and shooting paper turkeys (No joke. My friend's parents waited in line for an hour to shoot some paper turkeys).
And wow, you play both the violin and the cello? There's only one cello in the orchestra right now but she's super good. Actually, our orchestra is so tiny that you can barely hear us if there's no cello. The bass looks like it'd be way fun to play. It's so huge! xD

I took beginner’s orchestra for the art/performance requirement (easy A bro), but the teacher knew I played violin well (D:<) and thus put me on bass. It's fun but kind of boring playing beginner-level music. My friend on cello would switch with me sometimes ahaha
If we do make a band, please let me play the triangle ahaha.

Lol, I'm pretty sure Bass is going to close up hiring for now. Seven writers! Hopefully it'll let up everyone's workload. And I'm looking forward to posting here! Although I'm a little nervous, to tell you the truth.

Haha no worries at all; the more the merrier! I saw your twitter post, so I knew it was ending.
I have been reading Eyeshield! It's quite good–the build-up's fantastic. Frankly, it seems a bit shonen-y at times as well as predictable. Occasionally, it is a bit overdramatic. Still, I'm enjoying it a lot, and when I have some extra time, I read bits of it. Thanks for introducing the series to me!
