Giant Killing 11
So, after an awful week that surprisingly didn’t involve any alcohol I am left with an episode of Giant Killing that I haven’t watched yet. I did that on purpose since there’s no point of writing a post for Giant Killing 12 if I have yet to see it. Subsequently there is no point of watching Giant Killing 12 until I have written a post for Giant Killing 11 so as I sit here watching a particular game of football that I won’t talk about until Giant Killing 12, let me tell you about Giant Killing 11. Also let me talk about the World Cup in general as it has been one hell of a World cup, full of teams that shouldn’t lose losing, and teams that shouldn’t tie tying (England I am so looking at you!).
I thought Italy tying their first game was weird, but then when Spain lost their first game I could hear the thousands of people in the world who bet money on the “most likely” team crying. However, that cry was nowhere near as loud as the cry of the millions of English after their team tied Algeria. England now has to beat Slovenia who is the best team in their group. The sad part is that if England beats Slovenia (which they have to) and the U.S. beats Algeria (which they have to) Slovenia won’t go through. That group is set up in a way that the winners of the last group games will be the ones that go through, the only exception being if Algeria beats the U.S. by less than four goals; at which point England beating Slovenia would put them through first and Slovenia second.
I really like Slovenia as a team, and would feel crappy if the team I’m supporting was responsible for knocking them out. It’s too bad that Ghana won’t beat Germany and Serbia will beat Australia; Ghana did a great job to top that group. I am hoping for the sake of my buddy Bass that New Zealand gets a better third game result than Italy to qualify them, especially since the two non-European teams of that group qualifying would be hilarious. Portugal’s win by (LOL) seven goals gives the Ivory Coast very little chance at qualifying. If Switzerland beats Honduras by a few goals I think they could beat out the loser from the other game. Also, I get that I should be rooting for Japan because of all this, but Denmark has more Liverpool players so I’m pretty torn on that.
So after the “cliffhanger” from last episode it turns out that everything is fine. Tsubaki seems to of decided that throwing himself into situations is the best way of improving himself; and he’s right, he makes a great human blob-shield and saved ETU about three times there using that strategy. I always figured that Tsubaki was a forward but I guess he’s a midfield player. Gino is obviously midfield and I believe that Mista ETU is as well. At half-time Tsubaki gets some lost-in-translation time from the Brazilian’s who want to tell him that he’s a crazy guy and that they want to see his moe blob face more. He’s got a pretty good moe blob going on; it’s not as good as Ryuu’s though. Actually I can’t think of any other good guy moe blobs, someone let me know of some good ones.
Also, what’s up with everyone saying “Zelberto” but the name on his back saying “Zelbert”? Don’t tell me that this is another “Murakosi” fail from the fine folks at Studion DEEN. The half-time was fine; I imagine real football has much more anger at half-time. Man, during this World Cup I bet there has been some serious half-time craziness. I’m sure I’m not the only person who was glad to not be in the English dressing room during that half-time against the States. Kuro’s past stuff was kind of funny, especially how he just looked like an angry guy with hair. Hopefully Tsubaki doesn’t have a brain tumor that is causing his strange vision. I certainly don’t see how that vision could be a positive though since all of his senses are currently blurred.
I don’t know who it is that is meant to be covering Tsubaki; but I don’t think that they know who they are either; the boy has some serious free running space on that pitch. I think that the camera-man should have been voiced by Nakata Jouji, doing his voice from Canaan, not that his voice sounds very different mind you but I think that camera-man sounding like Araya Souren would not be a good thing. I can see next episode being the end of this current match but I won’t expect it, I have a feeling that they won’t score until the end of the next match. Also, my coverage of the World Cup just exploded apparently so the half-time show has come back on in order to explain. I think that while this is a World Cup of quite a few things, we can all agree that it is a World Cup of surprises. Personally I think that (like Giant Killing) it’s all about great defending well, except for North Korea.

I so want to tell you what happened in ep12 but oh well, *zips lips* about time you reviewed it. Methinks Tsubaki's vision blur was actually getting into the zone of clarity. In case of moe-blob-ness, who can beat Harima Kenji? Check: http://wallbase.net/wallpaper/9112 (remember that gurguru mawaru craziness?)
PS: That is Mistah ETU btw, speak Engrish, will you? =P
PPS: Who will you support now that England is out? You have to say that Germans played really well.
