Amagami SS 10

OBJECTION!!

I feel that the narrator of Nakata Sae’s arc in Amagami SS and the narrator of Katanagatari had a steamy one night stand that led to the creation of the Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi narrator. She isn’t a very good narrator you see, she only became a narrator to live up to her family’s name, though because she was born out of wedlock she has had to deal with some hard times in the past. The other narrator families found it hard to except her and as such she became slight irritated with her job, which is why she just doesn’t try anymore. However, she still loves her mother very much, enough that she even steals her catch phrases to end episodes with. The two of them are very close and often go out to eat ice cream together, that is, when they are in the same era, hur hur. Someone once told me that they thought the Amagami SS narrator was played by Nakata Jouji, after watching that first episode, and now watching this second episode, I can not only confirm that this is correct; but I can also confirm that like any good narrator, and man, he quickly abandoned his useless spouse and bastard child!

I'd tell her to punch him; but he gets hit a lot anyway.

Quick question; if you (as a woman) walked into a room, in which the moment you entered were asked by a gentlemen sitting cockily in a chair to “begin” would you not, I daresay, proceed to punch him in the face? Well, I suppose you can’t blame him when he’s waiting for someone who wants him to “train” her more. Also, I never thought that I would say this; but Sae with her hair down in a load of fail. I don’t know what it is, but she just doesn’t look anywhere near as good with her hair down. This is a very rare occurrence. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I didn’t like someone’s hair equally as much down as I do up. It probably has something to do with her awful ED; I should mention that her ED is awful. And by awful I mean awful; the kind of awful that can only be reached after spending ten years becoming the leader in innovation in your gaming genre only to have it lead to Tony Hawk: Ride.

Ugh...

Miya makes a great imouto; both because of the skills in being a wingman, and the nishishishi~. Though I’m sure that we’ve known this about Miya from the beginning, she just seemed the type that would make a great wingman. But you also get the feeling from Miya that she’ll always be the bridesmaid but never the bride. That’s always the problem with the best women, they’re too busy helping out their friends (both guys and gals) to help themselves. Do not worry though, as this kind of girl is my type, and therefore I will be working diligently to make sure that all of them become happy in my “helping your friends” harem. Strange imaginings aside I really enjoy Miya as a character, so it was great to see her get a lot of air time in this episode. If Miya gets a good dabbling of screen time in the Nanasaki arc, that will probably become my favourite arc, since I’m already looking forward to her arc the most as it is. Well, not as much as the non-existent Hibiki arc, but let’s stick to reality here.

That's right Miya; the cups half empty in this arc, please...drink faster...

Out of all the episodes so far, I have to give this one the credit for having the most sudden ending. I looked away for a second and it was over. It was like that Portugal vs. North Korea game during the World Cup; every time I looked away I would return to see that Portugal had scored again. But this might have to do with my interest level in Portugal, and in this arc. That is, to say, that I don’t have much interest in either. I mean, it took me a week just to churn this post out, and it’s not like I’m writing much. I’ve only just watched the episode; my general interest just isn’t there in this arc. H.O.T.D. is faring better; I just haven’t found the time to get around to it yet. When I sit down to watch an episode of a show I cover, I need to make the time to write about it after, so that way I remember everything. Or, God forbid that I write a bit of content during the episode; though every time I do that I seem to end up writing horrible stories about the secret lives of narrator’s families. Live action television has been beating anime for the past little while for me. I couldn’t tell you why, I’m just really looking forward to the coming season, when my three favourite shows air; Fringe, Dexter and Supernatural!
