Infinite Stratos 02

In lieu of the fact that wordpress ate my draft, I bring you my second attempt.  The second episodes are ALWAYS filled with magic, and harems! Although this second episode seems to be less magic and more Mecha, which is a good thing….I think. That being said be prepared for things to happen!

“Class Representative Runoff!”

Because in this world women are superior!

Ichika is told by Chifuyu that he will be provided with his own personal IS for his match against Cecilia, a rarity since there are only 467 IS Cores that were created by Tabane Shinonono, Houki’s older sister before she disappeared. To prepared himself, Houki agrees to train Ichika by practicing Kendo. On the day of the match, Ichika is given the IS Byakushiki against Cecilia’s IS, Blue Tears.

She's lonely...

Basically we learn a bit of backstory on the ISes. As it turns out Ichika’s sister designed them all, and made only 467. But for Ichika he gets his own special one for some reason. We learn Houki had an older sister who vanished years ago (What’s with characters and disappearing in this series anyways?) She of course claims she doesn’t know and doesn’t care, but what happens next is interesting. Ichika knowing there’s no way in hell he can win so he asks Houki to train him (I smell a montage! or is that just me?)

Can you spot our main protagonist?

Houki decides to train him, by using Kendo (Interesting tactic). She calls him weak which leads to a big montage which in effect leads up to the big fight! In this corner we have the ONLY Male IS Pilot, and in the other corner we have a bitch. Once Ichika’s IS is revealed it’s of course shown that it’s a brand new one. I have to say I liked the fight, he uses all he’s got to beat her, but of course loses in the end. It was a pretty good battle and I would have thought Ichika would win. At the end of it all Ichika gets a new member for his harem (beat that Sugisaki!)

Final Thought: I liked the fight, and the ISes. I thought it was done right showing Ichika not as an ace pilot already but building him up slowly.

Rating: I give this 9 Future Harems out of 10.

  Good stuff so far, this episode changed my mind on the CGI used so for now I shall stick to this.

  Infinite Stratos isn't so bad right? ^^ Nearly everyone hated it for the first episode and dropped it but in the past there were many shows which had shit starts but got way better if you give it time. Still my favorite anime of this season and I'm sure it's gonna get better and better. Unlike last time, I don't hate the blonde anymore and plus her IS suit is pretty tank~ Those small shooting thingys (not sure what they are called…newtype?) reminds me of Gundam and I LOVE Gundam~~ <3 Lockon Stratos is my fav character (you can see the resemblance of these two since they both use snipers)

    The small shooting things, are I believe Bits I'd need to look up the offcial term, I know it was used throughout a lot of UC, later parts of CE and in AD(00)

    Which Lockon are we talking about here? Lyle or Neil?

  Didn't like it. Still don't. I find the male and female cast to be bland and predictable.

  I'm giving it a few more episodes since the fights can be enjoyable since it's a mecha anime. But right now, there's already much better shows this season : Level E, Kore wa Zombie desu ka, Wandering Son & Yumekui Merry to name the few anime that are really great right now.

    I see why you say that, if you haven't enjoyed it so far I don't think it will get better for you. Sort of like most people with Seed Destiny only it was good at first.
