Mitsudomoe Zouryouchuu! 02

FLYING LOLIS!

Finally a REAL episode of Mitsudomoe! Seems this episode is a basic comedic one, and is full of randomness. That being said enjoy my labor. And I’ll try NOT to lose my sanity this season (here’s hoping!).

I like this opening, even better than Season 1′s which I eagerly waited the full version for. Especially the flute part, really was good stuff.

Plot (wait there’s a plot?): “Whilst protecting a photo she took with a Gachi Ranger, Hitoha inadvertently sparks a rivalry between Sakiko and the Hopeless Squad. Mitsuba desires an exercise machine and uses Futaba as a replacement. Yabe tries to work up the courage to ask Aiko to a christmas party, but she loses her glasses and starts wrapping everyone wearing red clothes in bandages. Yabe ends up spending Chrismas alone whilst Yuki holds a mixer party, though noone seems to go with her ideal picture of the King game. With Souijiro coming home late, the girls get Yabe to fill in as Santa for Futaba, though she ends up gripping tightly on his clothes, putting Yabe in a rough situation when Soujiro comes home.”

We start off this series (FINALLY) with Hitoha trying to protect her Gachi Rangers photo. Though of course it being Hitoha her picture is more or less….demonic! (has anyone checked her forehead for 666? No? Seriously? Damn). Well she doesn’t have it long before the middle sister (what’s her name?) takes it and starts making fun of her for it. Wow…just wow this class is FULL of Nutjobs I think. I mean the occult girl visits a shrine and thinks she knows exorcising, interesting at least. Then she hits on Satou which enrages all the other girls. Now because of Hitoha being in a picture with him….they do what any middle school girl would do, Go Apeshit reasonably talk this out, like civilized young women. Finally Hitoha claims it was the demon spirit and the pictures get burnt….in class (wait don’t they have sprinklers? Shouldn’t there be a teacher watching these kids like a Fat Kid watches a Twinkie roll away?, Ok maybe that was a bit mean but still! Where are these damned teachers?)

Houston uhh we have a problem.

What’s with these children and weight? They’re in 6th grade so they’re still growing! When I was they’re age I was…..um you know what? Lets move on with the plot. Though I guess if you’re popping buttons off skirts or pants, it’s time to cut your eating habits down. Once they return home Mitsuba starts doing sit ups (or are they crunches i dunno), when out of nowhere Futaba’s ponytail stabs her in the eye (I can see it now, when Ponytails attack! Rated R for Really Fake.) Instead of an exercise machine she decides Futaba is the PERFECT thing for exercise, and starts riding her like a Horse (kinky). This leads to them going outside at what looks like speeds close to Mach 1. Just when you think this couldn’t get any…funnier it does, she lets go and hangs onto a wall letting Futaba run like there’s no tomorrow.

This segment is more of a Xmas special (Xmas was 4 weeks ago though o.o). Wait wait wait, let me get this straight on Xmas Eve…they have class? Ok then weird. So their lovable teacher, realizes it’s Xmas Eve because of his students talking. It’s a lonely lonely day for him because I guess he can’t ask out the nurse whom he loves (we all know that by now I think.) I forgot how ditsy she is, without her glasses she thinks his shirt is covered with blood which seems strange to me. So she goes on a bandage rampage wrapping everyone up in them, I’m surprised there hasn’t been a lawsuit yet. We come back from the flashback with him crying because he can NEVER ask her out (dude maybe it’s time to do what a normal man would do! stalk her! find someone else.) The girls go on saying they should invite the boys and all that, with games, and fun, and ummm more fun! He really seems to want to go and get rejected flat out for not knowing it’s a mixer. The party is normalish, 1 boy and a ton of girls, with Mitsuba demanding everyones cake and Hitoha telling 2 people to go home. And as I thought the teacher…….is a full blown otaku, with what looks like a blow up doll and gachi rangers cake, all he’s missing is a computer screen with an anime charecter and he’s a normal Japanese otaku.

The animation I think has definitely improved and it shows with the opening and ending themes. I like the song, just like the opening it’s catchy and exciting.

Final Thoughts: I enjoyed this, it was a step up from last week in every way. This week I finished the episode instead of quitting because of how bad it was. The funniest segment was definitely the horse one, it makes you wonder what happens if you give Futaba bags of sugar. The Xmas part was ok, it was funny but it would have been better possibly if it were December right now, and not January. On a side note though, I am enjoying the opening, it’s kind of addictive and strangely funny.

Rating: I have to give this episode for all it’s comedy, 10 Nipples out of 10.

  I'm actually growing fond of this series the more I look at the screenshots. While the art style still haunts me a bit, the fact that the colors pop and the cleanliness of the looks makes it really appealing, not to mention the killer comedic moments.

  I may add this to my watchlist in the future.

    It's some funny shit, though it's only 8 Episodes for this Season so that's kind of a down side.
