Infinite Stratos 06

Well firstly, this is out late as Thursday was my birthday, and Friday I went out with a friend, and I decided to hold off on IS until today. Anyways, this episode focuses on Germany, and the fact she admires Chifuyu, and thinks Ichika is a failure of sorts. Although I would much rather see her stay the only girl not in love with Ichika, sadly…..she becomes his bodyguard later on from the crazies, and then basically becomes one of them. Despite there being no moral to this unlike another series I’m marathoning, Heart Catch Precure (shut up! I can like magical girls too!), I’ll pretend there’s some hidden moral!

Pretty Pretty Shiny Shiny

Plot: “After losing against him in a practice bout, Ichika has a training session with Charles, which is interrupted by Laura who wants to fight him, but refuses. On his way back, he spots Laura talking with Chifuyu, begging her to return to Germany and that the IS Academy doesn’t deserve her, but the latter doesn’t listen. It is revealed when Ichika was kidnapped during the 2nd Mondo Grosso IS championship, Chifuyu forfeit the finals in order to rescue him. Upon returning to his dorm, Ichika walks in on Charles in the shower to discover he is actually a girl. Charles reveals she is her father’s illegitimate daughter who was taken in after her mother passed away. “

We start off with an IS match, between the trap, and Ichika, though I must say “Charles’ ” IS is pretty nice. “His” IS turns out to be long ranged based (what a suprise, I totally didn’t see that coming…) and you can SEE BREAST FORMS ON THE IS. Ichika NEVER notices it somehow and carries on with life. The harem is mad, because he listens to a trap and not them it would seem.”He” teaches him long range shooting and it proves useful (who knew?). I LOVE Laura’s IS design, it’s dark, evil looking, and suits her well I would say. Her weapons are held in place, she only has to concentrate on flying it instead of holding a weapon and I find that nice. After Trap (I mean “Charles”) runs back to the dorms after practice Ichika randomly goes back and sees Laura telling Chifuyu that she shouldn’t be teaching idiots, and stuff.

And make him my king?

Ichika being the smart man FINALLY realizes CHARLES IS A BOY (WHAT A SHOCKER!). He asks about it, she explains, she’s always been mistaken for one because she’s very Bishi, so she just rolls with it, etc, etc. Really her story kind of sucks, up until 2 years ago she lived with her now dead mother, until she died and her father who divorced her mother takes her in, and discovers after checkups she has IS capabilities. Ichika tells her, that it does bother him that until now she covered it up, which is understandable. Cecila comes in to take Ichika away (possible abduction) after asking “Charles”. Houki being the new Harem member is suspicious of Cecila taking him to dinner and accompanies them. Charlotte has trouble with chopsticks so Ichika teaches her how to use them. Laura vows to defeat Ichika, and reveals her other eye that was hidden by the eye patch, thus ending our episode.

Interesting

Final Thoughts: It was good, I LOVED the design for Laura’s IS, but I’m sad cause I know she’s the next harem member. Charlotte was revealed as a girl to Ichika, and Cecila and Houki tried to take Ichika for themselves. We learned why Laura hates Ichika and I thought it was interesting.

Rating: I give it 7 boobage action scenes out of 10, this episode needed some work big time.

      Why? In the end all this show isn't about plot, but about "creating an harem". :D

      Oh what!? Laura becomes part of Ichika's harem!?!? O___O NO what the- SPOILER!!! NOOO!!! T____T I preferred she didn't become part of his harem…

  I personally hate why she hates Ichika, his sister saved him after he was freaking kidnapped, if that's not a decent reason to drop out i don't know what is.

  OMG Charles is actually a fricken girl!?!?! O_O OMG OMG I SOOOOOOO didn't know that…. *sarcasm* It was obvious from the start but hey, I ain't complaining! I'm loving her feminine side~ And DAYUM!! What type of futuristic breast compressor-thingys did she use to hide THOSE! xD

  Laura's IS is fricken awesome, and the character is also awesome, besides her love for Chifuyu ^^ And and I TOTALLY KNOW WHERE YOU GOT THAT FIRST SCREEN SHOT PHRASE FROM!!! ARH!!!! <3 Is it something called: My gym partner's a monkey YEAH!??!?! xDD
