Guess what time it is? Time to knock Bass down a peg from his Eyesheild 21 posts! It’s time for another IS post, this week it’s episode 8! We get to see the tournament, with the fucking crazy Laura, and the love struck Houki, against the reverse trap Charles, and the idiot Ichika. Only 4 or 5 episodes left already, who would have known it would go this fast?
In this corner, we have a reverse trap and a moron!
We start off round 1 with the above mentioned teams about to fight. Ichika right away goes for the attack although Laura uses her barrier system (go figure). Laura seems to not care who her teammate is as she ATTACKS Houki so she can go for Ichika (what a bitch.) Houki gets 1 small chance to fight and then Laura attacks her and finishes off with her IS (Again what a bitch.) Charles and Ichika do a double team attack with Charles distracting Laura and Ichika striking her down. She starts losing and we go into flashback mode. We see how she met Chifuyu and that she has a nano eye (because implanting machines in eyes are fun!) She goes into hyper mode, and hurts both Charles and Ichika, with lighting.
And in this corner, we have a pyscho bitch, and a sane girl.
Her IS (guess it’s her IS anyways) swallows her in a giant black bubble thingy, and they cancel ALL the matches, and move to level D security. Now Laura is just that, the pilot nothing more then a body for the IS to use. Apparently what shes copied is in fact Chifuyu using an IS (not strange since she was her idol basically.) Houki slaps him and we see his arm is bleeding. Instructor troops come in using the same IS (mass produced is right!). I find it interesting that IS can re-power each other, I can see why they would be good weapons in war.

Though he can only use his right arm he still has his sword which is mighty powerful. He quickly defeats the thing, and frees Laura. Laura seems to be her old self now, after hearing Ichika will protect her, which is kind of nice seeing her become more….human finally. The system that did that to Laura was the Valkyrie trace system, which strips the pilot of their will basically. Ichika later on tells Houki he’d love to go out with her (HOOT HOOT HOOT)…On a shopping trip (pwned). They proceed to a boys bathhouse so we get trap fan-service, ending our episode. Oh and Charles reintroduces himself, now as Charlotte to everyone. My jaw dropped and I burst into laughter watching Rin break through the classroom wall with her IS. Laura saves Ichika and kisses him (I repeat my HOOT HOOT HOOT HOOT). Laura wants him to be her wife (It’s because she knows little to nothing on Japanese culture, so her terms are mixed up)

I KNEW IT! ICHIKA IS A WOMAN! A very manly woman though.
Overall: I liked that we had a large fight, which was enjoyable to the end. The Valkyrie trace system is interesting to me, and I’d like to know more about it. Laura from here on out will be reduced to a Harem Brigade member, so that’s it for her development really. I really wish Ichika wasn’t an idiot maybe then he’d really go out with Houki….on a fishing trip (I just had to do that, contractually obligated.) As I’m not one to be petty or anything like that, it seems I managed to get this up before RC (a first!)
Rating: I have to give it 9 Houki kicks out of 10. While we saw a lot of action, we’re still left wondering a lot of things. And I still say Ichika is secretly a girl who just hides it VERY well.

I loved the end when Rin came in and Laura declaring she's Ichikas wife. Does make me wonder how the rest of this series will play out and whether an actual villain will appear at some point, i was kind of hoping the tournament would last longer.
Laura didn't declare to be Ichika's wife, Laura forced the title wife into Ichika XD LOLS!!! It's a shame how the tournament didn't last that long but really, the two annoying girls are out so that only leaves them 4, I'm guessing there was no point as to continue with meaningless battles against normal students as the producers might of thought ^^
Crazy episode…. but absolutely epic! xD The fighting was done very well and I'm glad Houki doesn't have to sustain any more of Laura's harshness during the battle. Although… that VT system is intriguing like hell, maybe it's got something to do with the other attacker but that was unmanned, this one was just some formed goo which reminded me of Fate Stay Night covering Laura trying to kill Ichika. I'd like to know more about this system and also if there might be a rebellion of a nation in the near future, that could be the plot~?
Charles, or should I say Charlotte has finally shown her true skin which was good now that she can be herself and I must say, Rin's reaction to it was EPIC! xD I remember someone commenting (could be Hato) about if Houki found out Charlotte was a girl she'd go on a killing spree, turns out, Rin took the spot while Houki looked astonished when Ichika's knight in shining armor saved him and gave the defenseless princess, Ichika, a kiss while adding on to it, a proposal for Ichika to be her WIFE!!! LMAO!!!!
A VERY "steamy" conversation Ichika and Charlotte had during there hot bath together and I was surprised as to how calm Ichika was even during the time when Charlotte turned around and laid on Ichika's back, maybe something happened that was cut~~~ Maybe we might be seeing Charlotte in the next episode straight off running away with Ichika or something… nishishishi~~~

Booyah!! Go Laura!…I dunno.. for no particular reason, I think she is an awesome character. Maybe its the character design, with the eye patch, bad/evil girl thing going for her… There is just something about her…
Oh and I loved everyone's reaction to the kiss…especially Cecilia's and Houki, the look of shock..lol..
but seriously, does anyone know whether Ichika's conversation with Laura when she was unconscious real? Or did she imagine the whole thing?
