Infinite Stratos 09

Episode 9? REALLY? Shit it feels shorter than that. This weeks episode seems…interesting, to say the least. And I still wonder why Rin and Laura aren’t punished for BREAKING THE CLASSROOM WALL, I mean seriously you would think using an IS for that would get expulsion or something like that. Anyways a bunch of fan service happens this week, and more Houki on Ichika Violence (I love that game).

I KNEW IT! Ichika DID steal the last taco!

We start off this fine episode with Houki calling some weird Furry, with Bunny ears. As it turns out? IT’S HER SISTER (OH MY GOD SHOCKER). She gets her own personal machine thanks to her sister (wait so all you need to do is get her cell number for a custom IS? Hmmm BRB getting an IS). As much as I wanted to skip the opening, I’m starting to enjoy it, and I think it does really fit the series. The whole premise of this episode is beach fun/fan service it seems. Ichika clearly likes having pervy dreams to wake up to….Laura naked in his bed (oh god yes!) for example. Because she thinks husband’s and wives have nothing to hide that’s why she’s naked for her wife Ichika(I still find this fucking hilarious). As much as she’s changed, she’s still stronger than any man. Houki walking in on a nude Laura wrestling Ichika…..priceless. Houki manages to possibly beat whatever remains of Ichika’s dignity with that divine punishment, plus the face was fucking awesome.

I think I love Rin more then of these charecters now.

He and Charlotte go to the store for swimsuits, because they both don’t have one (Wanna go skinny dipping?). I’m starting to love how Rin’s become more of the comedic instigator for this series, it fits her well (and the arm of her IS). Laura sees them spying and basically tells them to quit it. Her intentions are to join them on the shopping trip (see even pyscho bitches need to go shopping sometime!). Ichika proposes calling Charlotte “Char” when they’re together, as a Gundam fan I giggled heavily thinking of the Red Comet. I like Laura and the fact she knows nothing of culture in Japan, it makes her seem innocent actually (weird..)

Charlotte decides to change with Ichika….IN THE DRESSING ROOM (Ichika’s getting pussy clearly!).  She does look cute in a swimsuit though, and Ichika thinking of Pi to stop his imagination was…interesting. They get caught, and told changing like that is too far. As it turns out Laura learned really nothing of Japanese culture and it was her handlers teaching her. Hey remember that furry from like episode 2? Neither do I but she returns in a full body suit (in this weather? damn) I skipped through most of this part (Beach Party), because the fan service while funny, just wasn’t that great.

FURRY!

Overall: It was a mediorcre episode for me, while I get they focus on the fanservice they need to tone it down a little. I did like some of the swimsuits, and the swimsuit buying part was funny. But overall I didn’t like the episode.

Rating: I have to give it 6 bouncing boobies out of 10. While it was ok I didn’t enjoy all the constant fan service.

  I finally caught up to the latest episode of IS!! xD And a typical beach scene won't be typical without fan service… Not that I hate it or anything but after reaching up to episode 9 I'd really like to see some progress go into the actual main story : But another thing was I hated the fact they didn't show much of Houki this episode!! Dx

  I WAS SHOCKED AS WELL!!! I totally didn't expect the robo-bunny girl to be Houki's older sister! xD

  This is looking to be the next Kampfer with such a dense lead male it gets ridiculous. Having Laura go from the strong military type to an excessively blushing type im unsure of as of yet but if we get to see more of her twintail hair style im all for it.

      Unfortunately, it seems like Rin has been demoted to a side character lately. 'Tis the fate of all childhood friends to end up forever alone. T___T

        I think that being a childhood friend in IS actually acts as a disadvantage because Ichika can't think of them as anything else.
        Also, if Ichika should up with anyone, it should be Charlotte, but if she doesn't, great, she's too good for him.

        seriously, the fanservice is ruining the characters one by one. I'd rather see more of the pikachu girl than Cecilia and Yamada-sensei.
