Weekly Art – Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica
There’s always at least one show every season that explodes with fanart. Panty & Stocking, K-On!, Angel Beats, you name it, there’s probably a mountain of artwork paying homage to it. Madoka is the obvious hit of the Winter season, and it’s particularly pleasing because I dislike the actual character art used in the show– those wide faces are just… eh. Thankfully, there’s quite a few fans out there who can remedy that! And even though I thought the characters’ personalities were a little bland, their general designs look fantastic (especially in group pictures; all those different colors… *_*).

Best art post yet. Those crossover ones are brilliant. The K-ON ones especially. There are so many i want to use as wallpapers :p There is also a surprising lack of Kyuubey i would have thought there wood be more of him.

There is so much great art for this show :3 I just love how creative some fans can be! I actually thought there'd be more Kyuubey art but I couldn't really find any of him XD

Nice job, Mint, these are gorgeous! *_* I collected Madoka art a while back, but I haven't seen most of these. I wouldn't want any of those girls to get an anime though–I hate historical fiction. Magical Girl Charlotte for me! <3

Anyone else wants to see what happens post Madoka? Winged Homura vs the Demon army looked like a badass fight.
Me!! And it's so ridiculously popular that I know they can't leave the franchise potential alone ;D That last fight was so mysterious, though. Definitely want to know what happens next.

I like the designs of the magical outfits, very colorful and match the hair colors hahaha
The only one I have drawn myself was Kyoko! Her outfit was fun to draw, a pain in the butt with all the frills! Still fun thou.
The outfits are great, and the color coding reminds me of the good old sailor moon days ~_~ Haha I bet Kyoko is the hardest one to draw! And I think I may have seen that somewhere on DA. ;D

I probably could've devoted an entire to cosplay, haha. But I'd never get this post done! Still, wow, the attention to details and work that must've gone into those costumes is mind-boggling >o<

Oh and the picture of Mami that has a lot of brooms is actually Marisa from Touhou cosplaying as Mami, so you should probably move it to the crossover section.

sigh…i knew i would be seeing this sooner or later..
i did mention that i would never go near Madoka even on my death bed. However, after a few tricks by my friends into making me watch an awesome anonymous anime clip with a pretty chick silhouette flying gracefully all over the place, i was immediately entranced by the graphics.
i think i MIGHT consider watching it now… :P
