Seki-Shinbun are Hiring!!

With the recent launch of Sekijitsu Shinbun, we would like to announce a hiring window for our new beloved site. With Uni deadlines and workload vastly increasing I (Asch) just simply don’t have the amount of time I want to update the site as often as I prefer which is why we need YOUR help folks! If you enjoy writing and think you would make a good addition to the team, then continue reading to see what I’m looking for:

  • You enjoy/Love Japanese popular culture.
  • Keeping up with the latest news on your interests (e.g. JPOP, Cosplay, Anime/Manga, Idols, Tokusatsu etc) is part of your average day

If the few things above describe you well, then you could make a good writer for this site. As a writer, you would have to few posts on a specific aspect (or two) of Japanese popular culture.

If you’d like to apply, drop me an email at asch[.]otakucomplex@gmail[.]com (remove the obvious anti-spam). Nationality is not a problem as long as you are contactable by MSN, Yahoo or Skype or even just email. Here’s what to put in your email:

  • 4-5 sentences about yourself, why you’d like to become a writer.
  • A couple of links to something you’ve written, if you haven’t written anything no problem write something and stick it in the email.
  • Your availability.

*Currently there is no deadline till further notice*

Note: This hiring window is ONLY for the purpose of recruiting writers for Sekijitsu Shinbun thus the writing style between Sekijitsu and Seki Shinbun are different. For more information or questions on Shinbun or the hiring post please visit the site itself, contact Asch or drop a comment down below. Thank you for your understanding.

About

I'm a humble film student from the UK, who likes to spend his time dreaming about what it would be like to have anime powers or a Gundam, but otherwise I am working on my dream of becoming a film editor… IN JAPAN!!!
