Figure Spotlight: Rin Tohsaka Summer Ver.

Hello minna-san! It’s finally time for me to pull out the big guns because I always save the best till last. A while back, I stumbled across this beautiful yet elegant summer version of Rin Tohsaka over at AmiAmi (but they’re sold out now) and I couldn’t not pass her off as some other figurine. No! Indulged at my own will, I’ve begun to love the Type Moon franchise and especially a fan of the Fate series. Of course, you can’t get one without the other which is why I also bought the Saber summer version to complete the duo set (note that they are sold separately) who will be displayed next week so keep a look out folks! As for Rin, the people at Alter really know how to show off her elegant legs and the detail they’ve put into her ribbons and especially her hair is amazing. Rin is definitely sturdy but can sometimes topple over if you apply any unreasonable force to her or the stand she’s on. Even so she won’t break unless you intend to break it (of course) and considering she’s in a sitting position will guarantee her longevity from warping in the future. Though what surprised me was – actually something quite minor – a special postcard of both Rin and Saber in their summer versions in each figures box and let me tell you it’s a beautiful postcard indeed. If you wish to view it, scroll down and open up the spoiler tag folks.
