Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou [First Impressions]

Hello minna-san! Here’s my first impression on Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou titled “High School Boys and After School, Skirts, Ghost Stories, Female Escort, Literature Girl”. Hope you enjoy!

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou

For a web manga, I must say that Danshi Nichijou was well adapted considering how much love it has received ever since the first episode came out or even during the previews. One thing’s for sure, the comedy in Danshi sells brilliantly and takes the form of short gags which will leave you laughing continuously throughout the show. Might I say that I really enjoyed watching Danshi Nichijou due to how hilarious and crazy it can get, especially those over expressive facial expressions, the little sister walking in on the guys wearing her lingerie but tells them to continue in a very sadistic manner and even the ending song making a certain gag scene seem touching and sad but really it was the complete opposite.

Considering it’s a series revolving around short gags and 100% comedy oriented, there’s not much left for me to say. A lot of the comedy is thrown together but that recklessness is what makes the gags in episode one hilarious. Although I wouldn’t say it’s as crazy as Boku Tomo’s comedy which Rika and Yozora usually displays. Still, Danshi Nichijou has already won the hearts of most with one episode so just imagine what they can do with the 11 episodes they have yet to show us! There’s definitely a huge variety of comedy waiting for us in the future!

Should you watch it? This is a series you shouldn’t miss out on as it already has the potential to be 2012’s best comedy considering it’s already a lovable show for the majority after a single episode. The stupidity in the show is something you really want to look forward to and if you’re a Hikasa Yoko fan like me, she’s totally voicing the ‘Literature Girl’ in the last gag they displayed. You can’t blame me for saying she’s my favourite character can you now?

  Even parodying the studios, this anime is just too funny. Also watching glasses man/Kyon pull gags like that is too much for my sides (can't remember their names).

  This show is excruciatingly funny. Highly recommend it for those in favor of anime comedies. I really liked the lingerie scene, the expression on the guys face when the sister walks was priceless. Also like the literature girl and the female escort parts too.
