As much as Famiglia is directed to the female audience, it was still enjoyable overall; enough to keep me interested in continuing the series. Even so, I doubt most males would find this as interesting as I have – being adapted from an otome game but Felicita’s strong desire to gain freedom is what draws me in the most. I do see potential in her character but at the same time, I get the feeling she’ll only serve as a little service for the male audience. Can’t say I’m not surprised but the use of her Lover’s Arcana is a great excuse.
Even so, the series will focus more on the bishies – being an otome adaptation as it is so my expectations have been adjusted. To explain, I’m not expecting much knowing that Famiglia will be focused around a tournament. The synopsis sounds very restrictive which is ironic as we’re seeing a character striving for freedom. The comedy isn’t worthy of mentioning and other than my wishful thinking for great character development, the seiyuu list is amazing. Other than that, there’s nothing else going for La storia Arcana (in a males perspective) but I can hear the girls screaming in the far distance. At least the intended audience is enjoying it.
