Studio: P.A Works

Genre(s): Drama, Music, Comedy, School-Life, Slice-of-Life

Episodes: 13

Notable Seiyuu: Noto Mamiko, Seto Asami, Ohara Sayaka, Tanaka Atsuko, Hamada Kenji

OP: “Dreamer” by AiRI

ED: “Shiokaze no Harmony” by Shirahamazaka High School Chorus Club

Summary: Konatsu Miyamoto was rejected to sing with the other members of her chorus club by the teacher because she was missing “something special”. Being her last year in high school, she felt like doing something crazy: She quit. In the place of her former club, Konatsu comes up with the idea to make a new chorus club, inviting the people around her to join. With dreams in each of the member’s hearts, they live out their high school lives. (Source: ANN)

We’ve seen how P.A Works can capture our hearts and really play with our emotions in the past through the focus and emphasis of character importance. Tari Tari might possibly have the potential to develop into a beautiful series that does just that with their intriguing cast of characters that share little to no similarities with another character. Seriously, you’ve got a hardcore badminton player, a international student from Austria (Source: CR subs), a female who loves archery and horses and two girls having a strong passion for music – Sakai (the one who acts very hostile towards music) and Miyamoto (the blonde, hyperactive chick that loves singing).

Who knows what will happen when you put such a weird bunch of people together, but that only adds more to the excitement; knowing that P.A Works can really create wonderful adaptations/originals. Not to mention that the music element only interests me more as we’ve seen how music can convey strong emotions between characters in Sakamichi Apollon. I wouldn’t say it’d be as great as Sakamichi but definitely a series you should stick around to see how it all unfolds in the later episodes.

PS: I loved how they used True Tears OP in Tari Tari. Such a big nostalgic hit!
