Sekijitsu Gained a Party Member

It still feels very weird talking about myself like this, but I’ll manage. My name is Yerocha and I have joined up as this website’s resident manga blogger. I’m currently a university student taking Math, but with an interest in English and Finance as well.

You wouldn’t know it to look at me, but I’m still very much a Sasahara-type animanga fan, having only been a big fan for a few years now and finding it weird to talk about a lot. I think it was around 2008 that I first started tracking down specific anime and manga aside from what was on TV, and it wasn’t until a year after when I could really call myself an otaku. When it comes to aniblogging, however, it’s another story. Currently I’m the writer for a little known and unfortunately named manga blog called Shades of Grey, which has been around for about a year now.

What I’m attempting to do here at Seki is essentially the opposite of what I do at Shades. Over there I can cover a large number of manga, but there was always the problem of being unable to discuss them weekly. Regrettably, I lack the discipline to go over why not much is happening in Bleach week after week. So here I decided to choose a select number of series and cover them episodically. Right now those series are One Piece, The World God Only Knows and Kimi ni Todoke, but with time I should be able to include others as well.

I suppose that’s all I wanted to share right here. I was never one to talk or write for hours, so it’s hard to know how in-depth to go. I’ll be looking forward to working with everyone here, and I hope things won’t get too out of control with so many freshman running around.
