Summary: The Neighbor’s Club—a club founded for the purpose of making friends, where misfortunate boys and girls with few friends live out their regrettable lives. Oh how I’ve missed these characters! Sena is as dumb as ever (and much more perverted with all them pictures of Yozora on her ceiling), Yozora is as evil as ever and Rika just loves to play along with the pranks as usual! Everything about the returning cast is nostalgic and still as lovable as ever. You can have one without the other; if we did, we wouldn’t have been able to witness the “Ultimate Popular Girl @ A midsummer Night’s Dream Mega Max Heap!” on Sena now would we! Oh Sena… please stay the same, you’re always amusing to see being teased all the time.
But on a serious note, Boku Tomo is back delivering a great start to the second season. Although Rika’s sexual fanatics were reserved from episode 1, the comedy is still as entertaining as I remembered it to be. You’ve got the usual Sena VS Yozora which never gets old and apparently there’s going to be three new characters joining the cast! And you know what’s the best news!? Hikasa Yoko will be voicing one of them!! I can’t believe it! Hikasa Yoko… in Boku Tomo! It’s like Seitokai Yakuindomo all over again! I can’t wait to hear her voice and what her character will bring to the series. I’m dying from anticipation so much right now, why can’t the episodes come out once every day!?
Though before I leave, to summarize Haganai within a sentence, it’s got a whole bunch of different types of humor; mainly sexual humor. A great comedy series that I regarded very highly for their first season. But not only that, the story deals with friendships and a bit of romance between the protagonist and the heroins (mainly naming Sena and Yozora). Although they don’t touch upon it too much where you will regard the show as serious, it does just enough to make both the romantic side of the story and the comedy side of the story to be both enjoyable to watch. And hey, who wouldn’t want to see a Pegasus naked in a bath tub with Kodaka?
